What’s new at Paradiski this coming ski season?

In case you need more excuses to visit Paradiski this coming ski season, we want to share with you what’s new in the area to make your experience at the resort as fulfilling as possible.

Here’s what’s new in the Paradiski area this season:

Le Petit Hibou

Les Glieres, Pont Baudin, Peisey-Nancroix.

For the foodies craving a superb dining experience, make sure you visit this gorgeous boutique restaurant, Le Petit Hibou (which means little owl), based in a traditional alpine house surrounded by mountains.

This gem is open for brunch and dinner, serving beautiful food and beverages (as attested by all their 5 star reviews!).

Some mouth-watering examples of Le Petit Hibou’s menu are: Ricotta pancakes with berries and whipped lemon butter, Chermoula chicken with roasted veg and spelt salad, and to quench your thirst they serve refreshing cocktails such as the Hugo – made with St. Germain elderflower liqueur, Prosecco and fresh mint.

The restaurant is located by the Nordic Ski Centre, which you can get to by bus from each of our chalets, and is within walking distance from Chalet Cairn.

We love this place and cannot recommend it enough for its top notch food and atmosphere!

Mille8

Les Arcs, Bourg Saint Maurice

Mille8 leisure centre at Les Arcs ski resort now has even more family-friendly experiences for everyone.

Open day and night, Mille8 features lots of apres-ski activities: tobogganing, swimming, dining, spa, and some excellent new facilities: Le Lodge and Les Sapins.

Le Lodge rolls many needs into one. Firstly, it’s an elegant brasserie where you can savour a refined gastronomic experience featuring local gourmet produce. The two-storey establishment also encompasses leisure and exclusivity, with an area especially for young children with special kid-friendly furniture and games, as well as a golf simulator to practice your swing and private VIP lounges.

From Le Lodge you can take a walk in the new Mille8 forest, Les Sapins. This is the perfect area for getting some fresh air and tranquility as the track is dotted with meditation spots, and you can stop at Les Cabanes Belvedere Outlook to take in the majestic panoramic views of Mont Blanc.

Mille8 is located just above Arc 1800 and is accessible from anywhere in Paradiski. Read the map and more information about Mille8 here.

50th Anniversary Celebrations

Les Arcs ski resort

The legend that is Les Arcs opened in 1968 and was France’s first purpose built ski resort.

Therefore, 2018 marks its 50th year of creating wonderful experiences for its visitors and celebratory events will continue through the season to acknowledge how far this well-loved ski resort has come!

New Paradiski Ski Lifts

Comborcière lift at Les Arcs and Inversens lift at La Plagne

We love shiny new, faster chairlifts so we can’t wait to use the new ones this season at Les Arcs and La Plagne.

Comborcière lift is the latest upgrade to Les Arcs’ ski lift system which replaces the slow, two person lift, which used to sweep you up too fast and smack into the backs of your legs!

The brand spanking chairlift will now seat four people and it designed to gently lift you up and put you down.

Les Arcs’ neighbour La Plagne ski resort, linked by the Vanoise Express double-decker cable car, is upgrading Inversens lift to replace its 4 person chairs with 6 person chairs. Inversens lift provides access to several ski trails from its summit, Roche de Mio, so the upgrade is much needed for skiers to be able to more easily enjoy one of the most beautiful slopes of the Alps.

Not only will the new lift reduce queues, but it will also reduce the amount of time it takes to reach the top which was a common hindrance for many skiers.

Free Half-Day Ski Passes

Ski for free on the day you arrive

There are so many ski pass options at Paradiski resorts with the two main types being the all-access Paradiski Pass, encompassing Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne ski resorts, and the La Plagne Pass which allows access to La Plagne ski area only.

You can take advantage of getting a free half-day of skiing when you purchase a Paradiski Pass under the following conditions: Provided you purchase a Paradiski Pass of 6-15 days you can ski for free anytime from 12:30pm the day before your first full day of skiing!
