Whitebeam Chalets’ believes that yoga compliments and revives, after a day of skiing and snowboarding in Paradiski.
We are so excited to have Rebecca, a return host, offering paid-for yoga practises during your stay with Whitebeam.
Ski and yoga! What better holiday, here in Peisey-Vallandry?
Rebecca can offer yoga to any guest in Chalet Cairn, with a little notice. Just another little extra from Whitebeam Chalets!
Meet Rebecca, Whitebeam’s in-house yoga teacher
On October 4, I found myself on a flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. I was about to take on one of the most equally nerve wrecking and beautiful adventures of my life. I couldn’t be more ready to start my first 200 hour yoga teacher training.
After sending my love to everyone in and around my life, I said “peace out” to Europe. Today, it is November 3 and I am a certified 200 hour Hatha & Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.
The word yoga means ‘unity’ or ‘oneness’. On a practical level, yoga is a means of balancing and harmonising the body, mind and emotions.
When we live a life that is unbalanced, our organs, muscles and nerves no longer function in harmony. In this respect, yoga is for everyone because everybody deserves to live a life that is in harmony.
During your week stay with Whitebeam Chalets, I have a range of classes to offer to you – delivered through authenticity and love – to align your body, mind and breath.
Meditation on your ski holiday
Meditation is the practice of mindfulness. A path that leads you towards knowing who you are by, not eliminating the thoughts that arise, but simply calming them.
This 1-hour class will be guided. It will allow yourself to tap into your inner flow of energy through guided body scans, visualisations and gentle essential oil head massages to move you towards a higher consciousness.
The practice will leave you revived from our fast-paced societies while also feeling light, aware and connected.
Hatha yoga on your ski holiday
This 1-hour practice will begin with the basic essentials for laying a firm foundation for yogic asanas (postures) while also focusing primarily on the spine.
When the spine is rigid, nerve impulses cannot flow freely. This flow will allow the nerves to remain strong, allowing a free flow of energy through the body and mind. This practice will be gentle, leaving you feeling calm and refreshed.
Ashtanga-Vinyasa in Peisey-Vallandry
This 1-hour class involves synchronising the breath with a series of postures to spark your internal heat.
The purpose of this practice is increase blood circulation to remove pain and impurities which in turn purifies and detoxes the muscles and organs of the body.
The body and mind are challenged and used to come back to a natural state of peace and happiness.
